Bally’s Corporation now has two iGaming platforms live in two Canadian provinces after Bally Bet and Monopoly Casino launched in Alberta this week.
Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC) confirmed on Wednesday, Aug. 5, that the Bally Bet Sportsbook & Casino is now operational in the province. AiGC’s list of registered iGaming sites also includes Monopoly Sportsbook & Casino, a platform built around the brand of the iconic board game.
Both Bally sites had been open for pre-registration since securing licenses from Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis earlier this year, and each platform began taking bets in the province on Tuesday, Aug. 4.
Alberta iGaming field gets more crowded
The new additions bring Alberta’s regulated online gambling market to a total of 26 sites.
After 22 sites launched on day one on July 13, the Bally’s-owned pair are the first new operators to join the fray after Entain’s Sports Interaction and Party Casino platforms did so in late July.
Bally’s joins other big-name operators in the Western Canada province. The full list of operational Alberta iGaming sites as of Aug. 5, per AiGC, is:
- Bally Bet Canada
- bet365 Casino
- bet365 Sportsbook
- BetMGM
- BetRivers
- Betty Casino
- BetVictor
- Caesars Palace
- Caesars Sportsbook & Casino
- CasinoDays
- DAZN Bet
- Delta Casino
- DraftKings
- FanDuel
- Golden Nugget Casino
- Hollywood Casino
- Horseshoe Casino
- LuckyDays
- Monopoly Casino & Sportsbook
- Party Casino
- Sports Interaction
- Stardust Casino
- theScore Bet
- theScore Casino
- TonyBet
More operators will likely join the fray; AGLC lists more than 50 approved operator sites as of the time of writing.
Bally Bet adds to North American reach
Bally’s has had an iGaming presence in Canada since 2022, when it launched Bally’s Casino in Ontario’s then-new regulated online gambling market. It subsequently moved to an all-in-one sportsbook and casino app in the province at the end of 2024, powered by Kambi and White Hat Gaming.
Bally Bet is not one of the biggest operators in U.S. online gambling by market share, but with the Alberta launch, it is now operational in 15 jurisdictions in North America:
- Alberta
- Arizona (sportsbook only)
- Colorado (sportsbook only)
- Iowa (sportsbook only)
- Indiana (sportsbook only)
- Maryland (sportsbook only)
- Massachusetts (sportsbook only)
- New Jersey
- New York (sportsbook only)
- Ohio (sportsbook only)
- Ontario
- Pennsylvania (casino only)
- Rhode Island (casino only)
- Tennessee (sportsbook only)
- Virginia (sportsbook only)
Bally’s North America Interactive business, which includes both Bally Bet and Monopoly Casino & Sportsbook as well as some free-to-play sites and other properties, posted revenue growth of 36% year over year for the first quarter of 2026.
Bally’s deepens Canadian footprint
Bally’s owns Monopoly Casino & Sportsbook after acquiring its parent company, Gamesys, in 2021. In June 2025, Bally’s introduced the separate platform to Ontario, months after it made its North American debut in New Jersey’s online casino market.
Shortly afterwards, Bally’s signed a multi-year deal that gave it exclusive global B2C online casino gaming rights to use Hasbro’s Monopoly brand in all regulated gaming territories. That allowed it to distribute a range of Monopoly-themed games to customers in various markets, created and developed by Evolution, which was awarded the licensing rights to develop online slots and live casino formats for Monopoly and Hasbro Games.
Bally’s CEO Robeson Reeves told SBC News in July 2025 that the deal added “perhaps the most global local brand there is” to the company’s portfolio. The Monopoly-branded platform offers a range of features under the name of the iconic board game, including various slot titles and a Monopoly Rewards program.
As well as Bally Bet and Monopoly, Bally’s Corporation also has other interests in Canada. The company holds a 58% majority stake in Bally’s Intralot S.A., its joint venture with lottery technology specialist Intralot. That business works with lotteries worldwide, including Canadian crown corporations such as British Columbia Lottery Corporation.
