SBC has brought together experienced regulatory affairs leaders, former regulators, and industry experts to establish a new Regulatory Advisory Board, designed to strengthen engagement between gaming regulators, licensed operators, lotteries, policymakers, and industry associations.

Chaired by Andrew Gellatly, Former Executive Director of the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC), the Board will provide strategic guidance on SBC’s regulatory initiatives, help shape high-level discussions, and identify emerging regulatory challenges across international gaming markets.

The initiative forms part of SBC’s wider commitment to creating opportunities for regulators, policymakers and industry leaders to exchange knowledge, address common challenges and contribute to the development of sustainable regulated gaming markets.

The Board also includes SBC founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark and Managing Director Andrew McCarron, with Head of Legal Eve Hartley serving as Secretary.

“Regulation is one of the most important factors shaping the future of our industry,” said Sojmark. “Across Europe, North America and other international markets, we are seeing increasingly complex discussions around taxation, licensing, player protection, illegal gambling and the sustainability of regulated markets.

“SBC has always been about bringing the industry together, and we believe there is a real opportunity to extend that approach to regulatory engagement. We want to create an environment where regulators and industry leaders can have open, informed and constructive conversations about the issues that matter.

“We’ve assembled an outstanding group of people who understand regulation from different perspectives, and their experience will be invaluable in helping us develop something that makes a meaningful contribution to the industry.”

Gellatly added that as gaming regulation becomes increasingly complex and varied, while facing many of the same challenges, the Board provides an opportunity to bring together experienced industry leaders, identify emerging regulatory challenges, and “encourage constructive dialogue” between regulators and licensed operators.

“I look forward to supporting SBC in developing its regulatory initiatives across international markets,” added Gellatly.

SBC developing North American Regulatory Forums in Toronto

A central priority for the Board will be supporting the development of the SBC Leaders Regulatory Forums, taking place in Amsterdam on April 19, 2027, alongside SBC Summit Europe. There, 350 senior decision-makers from across Europe’s regulated gaming industry are expected to gather.

The company is also developing a North American edition in Toronto, which will bring together 250 senior regulatory and industry leaders from across the United States and Canada.

The initiative builds on SBC’s existing partnerships with the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) and the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL), and reinforces its commitment to regulatory education, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.

Through the Advisory Board and its wider regulatory initiatives, SBC aims to establish an important international platform for constructive dialogue between regulators and licensed gaming industry leaders, supporting the long-term development of responsible, competitive, and sustainable regulated gaming markets around the world.
