Technology company ThrillTech has been approved to provide its online side-bet jackpot tech to licensed iGaming operators in Ontario.

The firm has received a supplier’s license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and can now offer its products to the province’s regulated online casino, sports betting, and lottery operators across the province.

“Securing our AGCO license is a major step in our mission to transform how jackpots are delivered at scale across regulated markets,” said ThrillTech co-founder Benjamin Bradtke. “This latest certification is testament to our robust technology and trusted compliance frameworks, allowing us to continue our global growth trajectory.

“We are thrilled to bring our proven, compliant jackpot technology to Ontario, empowering locally licensed operators to uplift revenue without cannibalizing existing spend.”

ThrillTech already partnered with multiple Ontario operators

Bradtke co-founded ThrillTech a few years ago and it launched its first product in 2023: a software-as-a-service (SaaS) jackpot solution called ThrillPots. That includes features such as various jackpot types, payout mechanics, jackpot free spin functionality, and more.

Today, the company styles itself as “the global leader” in side bet jackpots, and says its technology helps operators to acquire, engage, and retain players.

Its side bet jackpots offer operators bespoke, player-funded jackpot mechanics that can be integrated over their existing core products. Because the jackpot functions as a completely independent, opt-in side bet, it does not interrupt gameplay of the underlying games, instead generating incremental revenue as a player engagement tool.

ThrillTech has multiple existing multinational gaming partners which operate in Ontario, including BetVictor, Betsson Group, and Lucky Casino. The firm’s AGCO approval means those operators can now launch the side bet jackpots in the province.

ThrillTech added in a press release that it is also actively engaged in discussions with potential new operator partners who are looking to differentiate their brands in the market.

An expanding global footprint

ThrillTech’s Ontario license adds to its similar regulatory approvals in markets including:

  • Brazil
