Greentube goes live with Mobinc in Ontario

Platform provider and operator Mobinc has struck a deal with Greentube to host the firm’s content in Ontario.

Mobinc launched its Conquestador casino brand in the province earlier this year but its offering has now been enhanced with local players able to pit their wits against a wide array of new slots by the Novomatic digital gaming and entertainment division.

This includes the Diamond Cash and Diamond Mystery series, titles featuring the Win Ways Mechanics, and the Book of Ra collection.

Games from Greentube are also now available to operators looking to enter the Ontario market with their own brand via Mobinc’s White Label Solution.

Alex Bolton, Casino Manager at Mobinc, said: “Greentube’s games have always been popular in land-based jurisdictions, and we’re pleased to have reached an agreement to host them in Ontario.

“In licensed markets like Ontario it is important to have not only the latest games but also acclaimed titles that have attracted followers for years. We now have both to offer our players and partners.”

Greentube, meanwhile, first entered the Ontario igaming market last December through a deal with British-headquartered global operator Entain, agreeing to take its titles live on three of the operator’s brands in the province.

Jordan Wall, Key Account Manager at Greentube, added: “Mobinc is a logical partner for Greentube in regulated markets like Ontario and we are excited about opportunities the cooperation presents for both companies.

“Our content has been performing strongly in North American markets and with the region being a core focus for us, we are thrilled to further our reach through this partnership.”

BET99 opts for GeoComply as new geolocation supplier in Ontario

proGeoComply has been selected as the new geolocation provider for BET99 in Ontario, seemingly replacing Xpoint.

BET99 partnered with Xpoint in the Canadian province last December, announcing it had embedded the geolocation and compliance technology company’s Verify services into its online sports betting and casino platforms.

However, the Canadian online sportsbook has now placed its faith in GeoComply, a provider of anti-fraud and geolocation solutions with Canadian roots of its own.

Lindsay Slader, Senior Vice President of GeoComply, commented: “We are thrilled that Bet99 has adopted our new technology, which makes geolocation compliance easier than ever for players and easier than ever for BET99 to integrate, helping to keep them compliant, profitable and safe.”

According to BET99, the new partnership will help “provide the very best customer experience with gold-standard geolocation solutions for desktop and mobile that help increase pass rates, detect fraud, and boost gross gaming revenue”.

GeoComply’s new solution allows mobile and desktop players to validate their location in one click without leaving the page or downloading a companion app or plugin, thus removing a “player pain point” and boosting conversion.

Paul Nyzuk, BET99 Chief Technology Officer, added: “We are excited to partner with GeoComply. They have more experience than any other geolocation provider and a commitment to innovation, as evidenced by GeoComply’s new No Download Browser Solution.

“Our priority is ensuring the best player experience while achieving the highest standards in compliance.

“GeoComply’s cutting-edge technology brings tremendous efficiencies so BET99 can achieve these goals.”

Elsewhere, BET99 recently unveiled its new sportsbook and casino app after also forming a new micro-betting partnership with Simplebet.

GiG expands deal with Goldenpark into Ontario

Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has signed a partnership with Goldenpark to supply its platform to the Iberian operator in the Ontario market.

The terms of the deal see GiG provide Goldenpark with its gaming platform for the Ontario market that will help the operator deliver a “strong localized and personalized customer experience”.

GiG and Goldenpark have enjoyed an established relationship in Europe, where they collaborate in both Spain and Portugal after the latter recently obtained a license in the Iberian nation.

José Giacomelli, Consejero Delegado of MGA Online Division, said: “One of Goldenpark’s biggest challenges for 2024 is the launch of our Ontario operation. Ontario represents a vibrant and rapidly growing market, and we believe that together with GiG, Goldenpark will meet its goals.

“This agreement signifies not just a geographical expansion, but also an evolution in how both companies envision the future, seize opportunities, and tackle challenges. As always, our core commitment is to our customers and to delivering top-tier solutions, and we are confident that this partnership will allow us to further elevate that standard.”

GiG’s strategy is to enable its clients to offer an “open and bespoke” experience to users in each jurisdiction, which aligns with Goldenpark’s Ontario strategy of targeting the localized market in the province.

The platform provider has market access in 30 different jurisdictions and is in the regulatory and licensing process in a further eight.

Marcel Elfersy, CCO of GiG said: “The Ontario online market is a significantly strong one for GiG, and as a valued existing partner we’re delighted to be able to take Goldenpark into North America for the first time.

“It’s a testament to the strength and flexibility of our offering, and the relationship we’ve built with Goldenpark that we are able to explore and grow new opportunities together.”

Blazesoft unveils newest social casino brand Zula Casino

Following the success of Fortune Coins Casino, social gaming solutions provider Blazesoft has introduced its latest venture – Zula Casino.

The Ontario-based firm’s newest social casino platform features hundreds of casino-style slots, fish, and crash games supplied by gaming providers across the globe.

Zula Casino offers daily jackpots, tournaments, a loyalty program, and a number of promotions to enhance the player experience.

Blazesoft’s announcement today also noted a USD$10m (CAD$13.7m) investment into its future sports brand, Sportzino, which will blend social sports and casino-style gaming, offering a range of sports and leagues, virtual sports, esports, and more. The social sportsbook is expected to launch before the end of 2023.

Mickey Blayvas, Blazesoft CEO, commented: “Blazesoft continues to be a leader in the online entertainment arena in North America; and Fortune Coins, Zula Casino, and Sportzino each reflect our ultimate ambition to being the number one player in the market.

“With our introduction to the sports market in 2024, we anticipate Blazesoft’s growth trajectory will skyrocket as we plan for substantial market expansion.”

After making its first steps in the US in 2022, Fortune Coins Casino made its debut in the Canadian online casino market earlier this year, launching in eight provinces across the country – Ontario and Quebec were not included, however.

The social casino brand subsequently forged new partnerships with the likes of Relax Gaming and Pragmatic Play to continue driving towards growth in Canada and the US.

Fortune Coins Casino now has over three million registered players, hundreds of games, and a consistent monthly growth rate, which Blazesoft says is evidence that “a proof of concept will lay the groundwork for future success”.

Yuliy German, Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Blazesoft, added: “Zula Casino’s launch marks a significant milestone in Blazesoft’s journey to redefine the gaming experience.

“In keeping with our unwavering commitment to provide unparalleled entertainment, we’re excited to offer players a truly engaging and enjoyable platform that uniquely blends social gaming with sweepstakes elements.”

Rivalry ready to ‘Cash & Dash’ with ‘first-of-its-kind’ casino game

Rivalry has announced the release of a new original casino game, Cash & Dash, available on desktop and mobile platforms in ‘select markets’.

The Toronto-based firm has enjoyed an active year on the casino side, launching its interactive platform Casino.exe and adding a number of casino titles to boost its portfolio.

Famous for its esports offering, Rivalry is now continuing to increase its casino content, and its latest release is a 3D game where players must infiltrate a high-security bank and avoid a series of booby-traps in order to steal the treasure and escape.

Cash & Dash sees players bet the desired amount at the beginning of each round with multipliers that increase their winnings as they successfully navigate further into the secured building. The game also features an array of Rivalry’s original IP as playable characters.

“Cash & Dash is a first-of-its-kind title that merges online casino betting with modern video game studio development and gameplay,” explained Andre Nogueira, Senior Product Manager, Games, Rivalry.

“We’ve incorporated tried-and-true mechanics from the games industry to add a layer of entertainment value to the casino experience that resonates with our Millennial and Gen Z audience.”

Available exclusively on Rivalry, Cash & Dash has been developed in-house by the company’s games team, which features game developers, designers and motion artists.

Rivalry will also host limited-time events in collaboration with its creator partners to drive awareness and player engagement of the game.

Steven Salz, Co-Founder and CEO, Rivalry, added: “Online betting is still far behind other forms of entertainment from a product standpoint.

“We see a growing opportunity to create betting products that are strikingly fun, interactive, and engaging, and our original games are a big step in that direction.

“Cash & Dash, Rushlane, and other original games we currently have in development, continue to build on a unique betting experience exclusive to Rivalry that differentiates our product at a time where most sportsbooks look and feel the same.”

Rivalry added that, while the game is currently in restricted locations, the game will soon roll out to all of its markets globally.

Sports Interaction unveils new sports betting & igaming platform

Canadian sportsbook Sports Interaction has announced its migration to a new sports betting and igaming platform, nearly 18 months after its owner Avid Gaming was acquired by Entain.

The $300m deal completed in February 2022 saw the operator and its brand join the Entain ranks in a move designed to enhance the company’s presence in Canada.

Speaking at the time, Entain CEO Jette Nygaard-Andersen paid tribute to Sports Interaction’s “powerful platform” which would help the firm’s own ambitious growth plans.

But, earlier this week, Sports Interaction confirmed it had completed its migration with Entain to launch its ‘2.0’ sports betting and igaming platform.

“While it is sentimental to say goodbye to our homegrown platform that’s been built up over two decades, we’re thrilled to introduce Canadians to Entain’s world-class sportsbook that provides a broader and deeper selection of betting opportunities they will enjoy,” said Leon Thomas, Entain’s Managing Director, Canada.

“Customers will be getting the best of both worlds with new features like same-game parlays while retaining the unique promotions, free-to-play contests, and localized props that we’ve become known for.”

Sports Interaction also revealed a number of upgrades to its betting app, ensuring new betting options across the board and enhanced reward types for loyal customers, as well as “major improvements” to the site’s casino.

“One of the most exciting additions is the best-in-class casino, offering thousands of games for Canadians to choose from, plus live 24/7 dealers – a true game-changer,” added Thomas.

Meanwhile, Sports Interaction, which went live in the regulated Ontario market in August 2022, announced it had brought on board several new brand ambassadors including NHL legends Mitch Marner, Leon Draisaitl, and Chris Pronger.

New Canadian content is also expected to appear across the brand and social media channels.

“The future of media consumption is becoming more bite-sized and fractured, so pursuing a content strategy seems smart,” Thomas told Gaming News Canada. “We will have a new (product) feature that will enable people to view us whilst they’re viewing the game.

“Our investment in a studio that can speak with Canadian fans is something that in time will pay off for us.”

NeoGames secures first Canadian digital content partner in Atlantic Lottery

The Atlantic Lottery has signed an agreement to launch NeoGames Studio’s premium instant games.

The deal marks NeoGames’ first pure digital content partnership in Canada and is particularly significant as the Atlantic Lottery is the country’s largest instant game operator, offering a variety of digital entertainment through its alc.ca platform.

The Atlantic Lottery has also become just the second lottery customer of NeoGames in Canada as the firm looks to expand its offerings in the market.

Robert Lalonde, Director of iGaming at Atlantic Lottery, remarked: “AL is thrilled to launch NeoGames Studio’s innovative content library to further enhance the digital gaming experience in Atlantic Canada.

“Through this partnership, we will expand our game content and broaden our appeal to players, while maintaining our commitment to responsible gambling.”

The agreement with the only regulated ilottery and igaming operator in Atlantic Canada was made possible through NeoPollard Interactive (NPi), a company jointly owned by Pollard Banknote and NeoGames, which also powers the most profitable ilottery programs.

The launch of NeoGames’ portfolio of einstant games will see Atlantic Lottery and NeoGames work together on a roadmap of future games and technological enhancements.

Hili Shakked, Managing Director of NeoGames Studio, added: “We are excited to announce the launch of NeoGames Studio’s premium einstant titles with the Atlantic Lottery. The partnership is our first content-only deal in Canada, and it underscores our commitment to providing advanced solutions that meet the unique needs of our lottery customers.

“We are confident that our range of innovative games, such as Desert Fantasy, winner of the 2023 EGR North America Award for ‘Best New Game’, will enhance AL’s online footprint and attract new audiences, supporting the company’s growth in the ilottery market. It is a partnership designed to help AL maximize profitability and proceeds to good causes, while also providing players in Atlantic Canada with the best possible gaming experience.”

The reward program connects the operator’s 12 destinations in the province – including its newest resorts, Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto and Pickering Casino Resort – and is popular among guests for the value and experiences it provides.

According to Great Canadian Entertainment, the online program is the “first gaming and entertainment rewards program in Ontario to offer new members a fully digitalized experience”, with online registration now available.

Gavin Whiteley, Chief Marketing Officer at Great Canadian Entertainment, explained: “Our vision is to advance the gaming landscape in Canada, and allowing our guests to become members from the comfort of their mobile device is a significant step toward achieving that goal.

“We are thrilled with the overwhelming response and success of the Great Canadian Rewards loyalty program, and are excited about the prospect of making it easier for them to begin their Great Canadian Rewards journey before their first visit.”

Perks of the Great Canadian Rewards card include free play rewards earned through gaming activity, exclusive discounts on hotels at the aforementioned new resorts, plus the Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel, and front-of-the-line presale access to live concerts and events.

Loto-Quebec reaches agreement to end CSN casino workers strike

The general strike by Confédération des Syndicats Nationaux-affiliated employees at Loto-Quebec casinos is over after the operator reached a ‘responsible agreement’ with the union.

The move brings an end to a dispute that saw months of disruption after 1,700 employees across Loto-Quebec’s Montreal, Mont-Tremblant, Charlevoix and Gatineau casinos started a strike in June to display their displeasure over pay and working conditions.

Demanding wage increases equivalent to the rise in the cost of living, plus $1 per hour, the CSN suggested that Loto-Québec was making significant profits from which its workers should feel the benefit.

On the other hand, Loto-Quebec took aim at what it believed to be excessive demands from the CSN, which was allegedly asking for more than double the amount granted to all the other employees of the organization in the past year.

The situation showed no signs of abating as the months rumbled on but, in a short press release on the Loto-Quebec website on Tuesday, September 26, it was announced that “all its CSN‑affiliated staff – who work at its four casinos and in the customer service team dedicated to online gaming – have accepted the recommendation brought forth by the Ministère du Travail conciliator”.

The crown corporation added: “Operations will gradually resume as these employees return to work in the coming weeks. Loto‑Québec asks customers to visit the casino websites to find out when the gaming locations are open and what services are available.”

mkodo expands GeoLocs presence in Ontario via Rootz partnership

mkodo has agreed to supply its geolocation service GeoLocs to igaming solution Rootz to serve the firm’s online casino brand Wildz.

Under the terms of the deal, Wildz will integrate GeoLocs within its offering in Ontario, ensuring players can engage safely, securely and fraud-free.

Tony Kjäldström, Chief Product Officer at Rootz, explained: “GeoLocs is a perfect choice for our geolocation verification needs for players in Ontario.

“The technology and expertise behind GeoLocs, as well as the knowledge of regulations and compliance in the region, have been key in supporting us to license and operate in the regulated Canadian market.

“The partnership with mkodo supports Rootz with delivering an online betting experience like no other by offering our players a seamless experience that meets the compliance and regulatory demands of the territory.”

GeoLocs launched earlier this year and was subsequently certified by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) in February before being picked up by Casumo, helping the online casino operator maintain full compliance with geolocation regulations in Ontario.

The geolocation verification service will now support Rootz by providing an improved compliance strategy, maximised revenue opportunities and a smooth location verification experience for players that can be done quickly through the online casino’s app or website.

Stuart Godfree, Managing Director at mkodo, added: “We’re excited to work with Rootz in Ontario to offer their players the best user experience for geolocation verification.

“We’re proud to be supporting their igaming launch in Ontario as we continue to establish GeoLocs as a leading geolocation verification service in this territory.”
