NeoPollard Interactive says it has successfully launched into the Canadian market through its new agreement with the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC). Contracted as the operator of AGLC's program, PlayAlberta.ca, NPi deployed its technology, a full suite of managed services, and its top-performing game content on September 30, 2020.
A release says that NPi’s advanced NeoSphere platform fulfilled AGLC’s vision to bring a prestigious online gambling entertainment solution to the province.
Introducing regulated online gaming has been among the main goals for AGLC, which had prioritized introducing its own online gaming platform that will keep players involved in the regulated market. The 2020 provincial budget outlined the official launch of online gaming as an objective. This week, it's been confirmed that PlayAlberta.ca has officially launched with great success after operation of the gaming platform was greenlighted on September 30. PlayAlberta.ca is the only legal online gambling portal within the province.
On the gaming side, includes premium online gaming offerings and a diverse portfolio, including a range of digital content including casino-style games, plus NPi’s einstant games. Future offerings will include lottery, a full sportsbook, poker, bingo and live table games.
It has also implemented a full suite of managed services for AGLC ranging from revenue-generating activities to enhancing the player experience. It focuses on a strong customer experience, including customer engagement marketing and NPi’s customer support centre, which provides real-time player support via phone, chat, and email.
The website also incorporates AGLC’s GameSense responsible gambling program, offering players tools and resources to make healthy and informed gambling choices.
Alain Maisonneuve, President and CEO of AGLC, said: "PlayAlberta is another way AGLC is implementing its promise to generate revenues for the benefit of Albertans. AGLC is excited to work with NPi and apply their vast experience as we provide a regulated online gambling website that will offer players expanded entertainment options with integrated responsible gambling features and generate revenue to support valuable programs and services Albertans rely on every day."
Liz Siver, General Manager of NeoPollard Interactive, added: “NPi is delighted to celebrate the launch of this exciting offering alongside our partners at AGLC. NPi’s growth into the broader North American market exhibits how committed we are to providing the best and most profitable ilottery solutions. We look forward to continuing to evolve PlayAlberta in support of returning revenue to the citizens of Alberta.”
