Great Canadian Gaming's Casino Nova Scotia Halifax Reopens on January 11

After an announcement on January 8, 2021 from the Nova Scotia provincial government that certain gaming establishments in areas of the Halifax Regional Municipality can reopen, Great Canadian Gaming Corporation reopened Casino Nova Scotia – Halifax at 12 p.m. AST on Monday, January 11, 2021.
The casino was shut down for the second time during the COVID-19 pandemic on November 26, 2020 as part of the Nova Scotia provincial government's efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the province. It had previously been closed on March 16, 2020.
The property is now reopening with a reduction in hours of operation. It will offer slot machine play along with limited table games and food and beverage amenities, and with a guest capacity of approximately 20 per cent of the property's maximum facility capacity prior to its first closure in March.

With the reopening of Casino Nova Scotia – Halifax, Great Canadian now has three of its 26 properties open and operating.
Casino New Brunswick and Casino Nova Scotia – Sydney are also both open. New Brunswick reopened on October 23, 2020 and currently has a capacity of approximately 25 per cent of its of pre-closure capacity, with limited table games and food and beverage amenities. Sydney reopened on October 5 with 20 per cent of pre-closure capacity, but is not currently offering table games.
