Gateway Casinos & Entertainment reopens dine-in service at MATCH
June 4, 2020
Gateway Casinos & Entertainment (Gateway) has announced that select MATCH Eatery & Public House locations will reopen for dine-in and takeout service.
Over the next couple of weeks, MATCH will be phasing the reopening of its locations across Canada, starting with Langley on Monday, June 8 and Courtenay on Wednesday, June 10.
“We are very excited to reopen select restaurants and welcome back some of our team," said Todd Pollock, VP of Food & Beverage at Gateway Casinos, in a June 4 statement announcing the move. "The health and wellbeing of our employees and guests is our top priority. We want to thank everyone for their support and patience during these challenging times as we work diligently to safely return to operations.”
Guests will be able to enjoy the spectacular signature patios, each featuring their own bar area, booth and table seating, warm woods and signature red accents, and outdoor fire tables. Daily happy hour specials (starting at 4 p.m.) and fan favourites like half-price Wine Wednesday and daily features are also returning.
MATCH has implemented a new virtual queue system that will allow guests to text to join the waitlist and safely wait in their vehicles until their table is ready. “This system will allow our staff to properly prepare the dining room for each guest, and ensure there is no congestion at the entrance as guests wait to be seated," explained Pollock. This system will also allow guests to receive the menu digitally on their own personal device.
The restaurants will be open seven days a week with adjusted hours of operation. To make a reservation, please visit www.matchpub.com/locations.
