Lottomatica Group S.p.A. announced that its subsidiary SPIELO International Canada ULC has signed a five-year contract to provide the INTELLIGEN video lottery terminal (VLT) central system to the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) in Canada. This contract signing follows a competitive procurement process. The AGLC licenses and regulates all gaming, as well as supplies and manages all electronic gaming equipment in the Canadian Province of Alberta.

Under the terms of the contract, which commenced on June 29th, 2011 SPIELO will provide its INTELLIGEN central system to monitor approximately 6,000 AGLC VLTs. The system is expected to be installed in late 2011 and be deployed by mid-2012. The five-year contract includes the potential for five one-year extensions.

SPIELO is pleased to provide its state-of-the-art INTELLIGEN VLT central system to AGLC, a valued customer since 2003,” said SPIELO President and CEO Victor Duarte. “INTELLIGEN was developed to respond to the unique needs of distributed VLT customers, and with its open-standard interfaces, it will enable AGLC to manage its gaming program efficiently and effectively today, and in the years to come.”

Built on more than 20 years of proven central system experience, INTELLIGEN offers stable, secure command and control capability uniquely tailored to distributed and venue gaming environments. It interoperates with a wide range of VLTs using multiple protocols, including the Game to System® (G2S®) open standard protocol, and has advanced communication abilities.
