Bally Technologies, a global leader in games, systems, and server-based solutions, partners with its customers in Canada to provide solutions that deliver a strong return on investment.

Founded in 1932 as Bally Manufacturing, Bally Technologies (New York Stock Exchange: NYSE) is a diversified gaming-technology company that designs, manufacturers, distributes, and operates a wide range of gaming and systems products for the global gaming industry. Headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA and with nearly 3,000 employees worldwide, Bally spans the globe with offices in North America, South America, Mexico, Europe, South Africa, India, and Asia. The Company also owns and operates the Rainbow Hotel & Casino in Vicksburg, Miss., USA.

Bally is an award-winning company. In January 2010, Bally won an International Gaming Award by a panel of independent gaming-industry professionals from around the world for “Best Gaming Technology Manufacturer”. The judges recognized Bally for being the most innovative gaming technology manufacturer, and achieving sales volume matching its level of innovation.

A few months earlier, in November 2009, Bally earned two first-place Gaming & Technology 2010 awards for its Cash Spin™ slot innovation and Bally Biometric Recognition™ technology.

Bally’s Cash Spin video slot promises to be a breakthrough game featuring U-Spin™, a dynamically touch-sensitive 32-inch video display that simulates a physical spinning wheel with uncanny realism. Players can actually “spin” this virtual wheel backwards, forwards, fast, or slow for an unparalleled sense of control. Cash Spin also features Bally’s exclusive Interactive Reels™ (i-Reels) technology, which uses high-definition LCD screens superimposed over the mechanical reels. In the bonus round, dazzling animations magically ‘float’ in front of the reels for a unique, memorable, and captivating gaming experience.

Bally Biometric Recognition is the industry’s first product to incorporate distributed surveillance and biometric recognition. This product uses a miniature camera on each gaming machine to capture a patron’s photo. This enables numerous applications, including cardless player tracking; anonymous self exclusion; employee validation; and money-laundering monitoring.

In the coming year, Bally Technologies plans on introducing a variety of new slots to the Canadian gaming market which take advantage of exciting advancements in technology.

Bally’s Hot Shot Progressive Cash Wheel™ features a colorful spinning-wheel top box promising rich rewards, and exciting progressive game play that is the hallmark of the Hot Shot brand. Utilizing the same “game-in-game” progressive play mechanics as found in other Hot Shot games, Hot Shot Progressive Cash Wheel is crowned by a large spinning wheel. The Cash Wheel bonus is triggered in the game-in-game feature when the Cash Wheel symbol appears on the third reel of the fifth mini game-in-game.

Another exciting Bally game that’s also on its way to Canada is Ultimate Tower of Power™, the third title in Bally’s high-performing Digital Tower Series™. This penny denomination $25,000 local-area progressive, with its soaring video ladder-style top box, delights players with incredibly exciting animations, dramatic music, and eye-catching special effects. Anticipation mounts as players climb the bonus ladder toward this game’s ultimate progressive prize.

On the Systems side, Bally’s CoolSign™ and iVIEW Display Manager™ (DM) server-based solutions continue to provide customers with value and important benefits. iVIEW DM, an award-winning solution, is the industry’s most versatile on-device messaging technology, enabling gaming operators to present content such as player account information, Bally CoolSign media content, and directed marketing messages right onto the main game screen, similar to ‘picture-in-picture’ technology.

CoolSign, which is installed at numerous Canada casinos, provides centralized, enterprise-wide control of digital signage, including interactive way finding, directory, and kiosk; outdoor advertising; in-room TV; casino displays; employee communications and training; and much more.
