BCLC welcomes new CCO

Today Marie-Noëlle Savoie joined BCLC as its new vice president of legal, compliance and security, and CCO. She will be based out of BCLC’s Vancouver office.
Savoie comes to BCLC from Raymond James Ltd., where she was most recently its vice president of private client group compliance as well as the CCO and chief risk officer of Raymond James Trust.
With several years of operational experience in compliance, privacy, anti-money laundering, and risk management in regulated industries, Savoie applies a strategic and solutions-oriented leadership style to the workplace.
An experienced lawyer, Savoie was called to the bar in Quebec in 2009 after obtaining her Bachelor of Laws at the Université de Montréal in 2008. She worked in litigation representing banks at a Quebec law firm from 2008 to 2010, for Quebec’s financial regulator, the Autorité des marchés financiers from 2010 to 2013 and as compliance and senior legal counsel in the securities and trust industries from 2013 to 2020.
